Stay Tipsy
So, like every other human out there, I have a habit of spreading myself too thin. Of course, studying for my Certified Sommelier exam just wasn’t enough to do outside of my full time job. My brother-in-law, Jake, and I had become pretty into beer. Obviously like the true San Diegan that I am, I love to drink craft beer, but this had become more than that, we had started actually getting into the learning side of it and actually wanted to start going through the steps to become a Cicerone. If you haven’t heard of a Cicerone, it is essentially a sommelier but with beer. We wanted to put our new found love of beer education to good use, so we decided to do what everybody else in quarantine was doing and start a podcast. I know, we are totally unique and original LOL. We wanted to do something focused on the amazing craft beverage scene we have here in San Diego and with that we needed a name that a went with San Diego. As much as we’d love to just say “Stay Classy, San Diego” at the end of every episode, I think Ron Burgundy might be upset with us. We came up with the name Stay Tipsy and haven’t looked back since! It’s so great to be able to share what we are learning with our listeners while also repping the amazing craft beverage producers we have here in San Diego.
